Definitions:

Buy Price

Price we would buy a coin FROM you

Sell Price

Price we would sell a coin TO you

Spot Price

Refers to the current prevailing price of gold or silver as traded on the COMEX. We use Kitco.com for current pricing.

Troy Ounce

There are 31.1 grams per troy ounce different than a tradition ounce (i.e. grocery store or 28.6 grams per ounce)

Sales Tax

In the state of Maryland, sales OVER $1,000.00 are tax exempt.

So I made a reservation today at 11:30am to pick up a 1 oz gold Buffalo. They tell me that their premium is $160. Okay, that's fine. But when I arrive at 4:00pm … read more at my appointment to pick up the coin, they then tell me they are charging me $200 over spot price?!?!? So I lost money by leaving work early and driving an hour, just so they can try to charge me more??? And they had my phone number.... They easily could have called me within that small four hour time frame if there was an issue. Next time I'll save myself the hassle and make a reservation with Monument Metals just an hour south. Only reason I tried Fredrick Coin is because I was impatient. So I'm giving them only one star because not only did they try to charge me more, but they also easily could have called me to let me know that they would be changing what they had agreed to. That's pretty unprofessional.
Update: After my original experience, Fredrick Coin did call me back and honor their agreement they originally made. I changed my rating from 1 stat to 4 stars because of this. I do believe in making sure I changed my review since Fredrick honored they're agreement after all.
